What Is Squad?
Competition Karate Training
NKA Squad Training is a programme designed specifically for competition karate and is open to all members who wish to compete on the sport karate circuit for kata, kumite or both. Squad training will deliver high quality training ranging from technical work, performance training and fitness drills.
Squad is tailored towards competitions and offers a separate discipline to normal NKA classes. With this in mind, NKA Squad members will have the chance to represent the club at local and national competitions.
This offers a pathway for all squad members to potentially further their karate experience. Squad members will have the ability to go further and trial for the JKS England Karate Squad who have a proven track record of successful squad members at national and international competitions.
With a wide range of experience in competitions, including several national titles, international competition experience at WKF level, and training as a current squad member of the England Kata Squad, Norwich Karate Academy Squad Coach Matthew Yardy brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to squad development.
